  8. Long: A Dance version of the "Dr. Who Theme  1996". Stored here in both
  9. Korg i-Series and X-Series .SNG (Song) format and in Standard MIDI File
  10. (SMF) format 1 versions, the voices are configured for General Standard
  11. or GS mode which permits the use of 2 x Kits which GM can`t facilitate.
  12. Of course both the Korg  i-Series  and  X-Series  synths can do this no
  13. problem!

  15. There is a small ASCII text  file  which  accompanies the .SNG file and
  16. the .MID file
  17.  
  18. ie.     DRWHO96.DOC  - accompanies the SMF file
  19.         DRWHO96.TXT  - accompanies the Korg .SNG file
  20.  
  21. As both files are configured for  the  General MIDI (GM) voice set then
  22. you can simply load and play  no  problem  with voices or PCG files for
  23. these songs.. As you`ve already got the  .SNG file in this package then
  24. the SMF version is for your computer software sequencer..

  26. For those wondering who produced  this  cover  version  of this Dr. Who
  27. theme, then all  music  was  sequenced  using  Music-X  V2.0 sequencing
  28. software with custom ARexx macros on  an  Amiga  2000 using the Korg i3
  29. Interactive Music Workstation by Kevan R.Craft, a freelance muso in the
  30. UK..

  32. Here`s a little info for those not familiar with this classic SCI FI TV
  33. series on BBC TV here in the UK..
  34.  
  35. "Dr. Who" is a long running  BBC  TV  Sci  Fi series from the UK.. This
  36. "Dance" version of the title music was  used  for the return of Dr. Who
  37. in May 1996 as a 1 hour TV  movie starring British actor Paul McGann as
  38. the (7th) Doctor and US  actor  Eric  Roberts  (Julia's brother) as The
  39. Master.. I thought I`d have a bash  scoring this version and don`t mind
  40. others having a listen to my  efforts..  Sequencing was done for fun in
  41. less than 3-4 hours so don`t expect a really polished score.. Remember,
  42. I did this simply for fun via my Korg i3 and Music-X V2.0..
